What are the daily routes?
In the past, we have created the 100 mile routes the night before to allow for changes in weather - specifically the wind. Who likes to ride 100 miles with the wind in the face, right? This year, we will create 10 pre-determined routes that will take us on a tour down many roads and through several towns surrounding Lincoln.
Where do we start and end each day?
Bike Pedalers, 1631 Pine Lake Road, Suite 1, Lincoln, NE 68512.
Is 5 Days ~ 500 Miles a race?
No. It is a RIDE, not a race. There are no times kept.
When does the ride start and end each day?
There is no specific start time. However, we recommended starting each days' ride between 6:00 and 7:00am. SAG support will end at 2:00pm.
How will registered riders be identified?
Each rider will have a bib number. Numbers must be visible at all times.
Will there be route support for the riders?
Yes and no. You are responsible for carrying your own repair kits and fixing your own flats. If you experience a total break down, whether its mechanical or mental, Bike Pedalers will provide emergency SAG support. SAG support will end at 2:00pm each day.
What about lunch?
Lunch will be provided each day for registered riders only. The menus will vary, but will include a sandwhich, pickle, cookie and chips. Drinks are on your own.
Are helmets mandatory?
YES!!!
Where can I pick up my event packet?
You can pick up your event packet on June 28, 2011 from 3:00-7:00pm at the starting point: Bike Pedalers, 1631 Pine Lake Road, Suite 1, Lincoln, NE. You can also pick up your event packet the morning of the day you registered for at the starting point.
What about a refund?
There are no refunds.
Is there a minimum age to particpate in this event?
All riders under 18 years of age must have their ride waiver authorized by a parent or legal guardian.
Is there a maximum rider cap?
250 riders.
